Senior advisor and strategist for music and cultural initiatives. Together with KALW Executive Director, identified market opportunity for, researched, and launched KALW’s Music Mission (2020-2021), which aims to create a beloved, and indispensable home for music discovery in the SF Bay Area, helping define the Bay’s musical and artistic identity, and contributing to the Bay Area’s cultural landscape and the world beyond.
Led the search for and selected the station's first-ever Music Director, and worked together to onboard and cultivate a flight of new music programming and on-air talent. Identified and formed partnership with 25th Street Recording in Oakland to establish a new live broadcast and studio home for KALW Music and create the station’s multi-year broadcast operation there (2021-2024). Developed and co-launched KALW Presents (2022), a new marketing and engagement arm of the station. Identified, developed and orchestrated first-ever KALW x Stern Grove Music & Arts Festival season-long partnership (2024), collaborating with Stern Grove, KALW Music Programmers, filmmaker, KALW Music Journalism Director and audio content teams. Co-created and launched KALW’s Emerging Artist Project in partnership with Follow the Music. Collaborated on brand development, helping to craft a new look for the newly-formulated KALW Public Media. I continue to advise and co-lead the Music Mission (now a team of five), spearhead partnership development and artistic collaborations.
KALW is an NPR-affiliate and features the most acclaimed programming from NPR the BBC and the CBC, alongside 45 hours per week of locally-produced music, along with arts and culture programming with deep Bay Area roots. KALW is dedicated to inspiring audiences and telling the human story in all its breadth and richness. We celebrate discovery, equity, independence and new voices.

KCRW’s Apogee Sessions are the station’s most intimate live music series, held in the private recording studio of legendary mixer/producer Bob Clearmountain and Apogee Electronics Co-founder/CEO, Betty Bennett. Sessions are mixed by Bob Clearmountain. With sound far superior to any live venue and a capacity of just 180 guests, this series caters to core music lovers, and offers a rare opportunity to experience artists close up.
Each session is filmed and recorded for broadcast on Morning Becomes Eclectic, KCRW’s signature music program, and features performance and interview between performers and KCRW DJs.
The series has featured over 100 sessions, each attended by major supporters, media, tastemakers, and core music fans.
As co-creator and Executive Producer of KCRW's Apogee Sessions, I launched and produced the first 75 sessions. My team and I worked closely with KCRW's Music Director, Music Department, and a wide range of artists and management to create this series.

KCRW's Summer Nights, now 10 seasons strong and growing, is the station’s signature free, all-ages, outdoor summer music event series, taking place across Southern California. The series comprises of nearly 40 music events in communities throughout the greater Los Angeles Area, Orange County, and Santa Barbara.
As Co-creator and Executive Producer of Summer Nights, I launched and oversaw the first eight seasons. My team and I collaborated with a wide rage of cultural partners, programmers, business districts and communities to facilitate these partner-driven events.
Summer Nights partnerships and locations have included: The Annenberg Space for Photography, Hammer Museum, Chinatown Redevelopment District, Santa Monica Pier, California African American Museum, Anaheim Packing District, Metro Arts Presents, One Colorado, and Santa Barbara’s Museum of Contemporary Art.
KCRW expands to serve the Northern California music community and introduces KCRW’s Bay Area Sessions, hosted in Oakland and San Francisco, Left, Right & Center Live on the road in San Francisco, KCRW’s Metropolis and more.
I oversaw strategy, research, development and creation of KCRW events, partnerships and collaborations in the Bay Area to build community, audience, brand awareness and to serve fans and supporters.
Development and creation of a wide variety of ongoing KCRW events, salons, partnerships and collaborations in Santa Barbara to build community, audience and brand awareness. KCRW launched the Santa Barbara station in 2014.
A partnership between KCRW and the Annenberg Foundation to host annual, first ever, large-scale, free outdoor concerts on the greens in Century City, to accompany the Annenberg Space for Photography's major exhibitions. The series enjoyed 5 seasons, with a total of 16 shows, celebrating music, community and photography with 5,000 attendees each night.
As co-creator, executive producer, and collaborator of this series, I worked closely with the Annenberg Foundation, KCRW Music Director Jason Bentley, Spaceland Productions and J. Ben Bourgeois Productions.

As Executive Producer and co-creator along with KCRW Music Director Jason Bentley, and Spaceland Productions’ Mitchell Frank, I oversaw all aspects of the event from concept to completion for its first eight seasons.
KCRW's Masquerade was called LA’s “go-to Halloween event of choice,” selling out every year. The annual Masquerade Costume Ball brought together 3,000 guests to the iconic MacArthur in DTLA, featured five uniquely themed ballrooms and stages, 13 KCRW DJs, multiple live bands, dance acts, ghost stories and culinary delights.
A variety of special KCRW partnerships with Ira Glass, Peabody Award-winning host and producer of This American Life, when Ira brought his storytelling genius to sold-out evenings in LA. I worked closely with Ira Glass's agency and team to book, determine venues, oversee marketing, ticket sales, and night of show details.

A wide range of live broadcast news and public affairs events over two decades, including many incarnations of the wildly popular Left, Right & Center Live, mayoral debates, town hall events and more.
I co-created and produced these live events in collaboration with KCRW Programming Director and senior producers. Event locations have included the Theatre at the Ace in DTLA, the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, Peterson Automotive roof top LA and more.
Elon Musk, Tesla Motors creator and standard bearer for innovation and design, in a rare conversation with Frances Anderton, before an intimate audience in his showroom. I collaborated on and produced this event.
Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam and Swell Season’s Glen Hansard. This modern troubadour united with the Oscar-winning songwriter for a once-only intimate club gig together, playing solo acoustic for an intimate audience at Sayer’s Club. I co-created and produced this evening in collaboration with artist management.
For the first and only time, DJ Henry Rollins and legendary Black Flag front man presented an exclusive collection of rare cuts and conversation, unforgettable music and stories, showcased in a living room setting for 600 people—from his personal vault. I co-created and produced this evening in collaboration with Henry Rollins.
A Sounds Eclectic Evening was KCRW's first-ever concert series. It grew from its first sold-out year at the 2000-seat Wiltern Theatre to six consecutive sold-out years at the 6,000- seat Gibson Amphitheatre. ASEE brought together world-class musical talent each year on a main-stage, included an exclusive backstage party for VIPs and LA’s top culinary names, and an after-party for more than 2,000 guests, featuring acclaimed club DJs.
I conceived, co-created and co-produced these signature annual KCRW music events, in collaboration with KCRW Music Director, Nic Harcourt, and Spaceland Productions owner Mitchell Frank.

I was the Executive Producer, in partnership and collaboration with Helms Bakery and KCRW host Frances Anderton, to create these pop-up events celebrating design and architecture.
Featured events included: Reinventing the Wheel, conversation and innovations in transportation design with Geoff Wardle (Art Center College of Design), Craig Hodgetts (UCLA’s Hyperloop Suprastudio), Harald Belker (Concept Designer for Batman and Robin, Minority Report) and Michael Lejeune (Creative Director Metro LA). Exclusive semi-annual partnership with The Moth Mainstage featured America’s best live storytellers at a renowned 800+ seat Hollywood club, and historic Santa Barbara theatre.

UpClose was KCRW's premier cultural series featuring the station’s on-air personalities in lively and compelling conversations with leading figures in film, culinary, design, radio documentary, art, politics, literature, and pop-culture.
As co-creator and producer of UpClose, my team and I worked closely with KCRW's General Manager, program directors, producers, hosts and a wide range of talent, partners and venues.
UpClose highlights include: California Cuisine: What is it and Why it Matters?, interviews with Mad Men's Matthew Weiner, Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, Sapphire, Catherine Keener, musical salons with Rhythm Planet guests Alan Pasqua, Dori Caymmi and many more.

KCRW’s Annual “Best of the Year” album review event. An intimate conversation (and party of the year!) with KCRW DJs, as they reflected and played tracks from their ‘best of’ lists. Guests got the scoop 24 hours before the lists are announced.

A collaborative event between KCRW and Santa Monica College to showcase SMC’s Center for Media and Design and to offer a sneak peak into KCRW’s new studios and headquarters.
This day of celebration and festivities included a private ribbon-cutting ceremony and live musical performance for 400+ major supporters, city officials and more, as well as an afternoon for the community (3000+) featuring interactive tours, DJs, student dance performances, new media open house, curated culinary offerings, family activities and more.
I produced the day, collaborating and working closely with Santa Monica College President and SMC senior team, KCRW President and a wide range of staff, talent, graphic designers, venders, city officials and volunteers.
Critical Thinking With Warren Olney:
A partnership between KCRW and Zocalo featured a series of cultural events moderated by Warren Olney, the dean of Southern California journalists and executive producer of the nationally syndicated public radio program “To the Point”.
There Goes The Neighborhood:
A series that highlighted the Los Angeles identity crisis. City officials tout new development and shiny commuter trains, while longtime residents opposed the gentrification. Hosted by, Saul Gonzalez and Madeleine Brand.
